HISTORY
The Group MUJERES AL FRENTE was created in March of 2006 when Refugee Lesbian Women proceeding from Latinamerica started to face serious difficulties on a daily life because of speaking a new lenguage and addapting themselves to a life in a foreign country.
Without finding an organization that could really help and respect ther identity as a refugee and lesbian women and plus, seeing around the growing number of newcomer lesbians proceeding from Mexico, Center and South America, we decided to create a Support Group that was originaly named Latin Lesbian Group.
As Latin Lesbian Group, we had the opportunity to work and learn from experiences and that made us to make up our minds to be more inclusive to the female members of our latin comunity, like: bisexual, transexual, intersex, queer and transgender people.
So then, after that, we changed our name to MUJERES AL FRENTE (Women in the Front Line)
