Queer, Guest Fest

Mujeres al Frente is going to participate in a panel discussion that in which we will talk about international lesbian and gay human rights, we hope to see you there,

Tuesday June 24th - A Java Knights - An International Lesbian and Gay Human Rights Panel Discussion @ Gladstone Hotel Art Bar 1214 Queen St. W. Find out about equality issues for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people and their liberation from all forms of discrimination in other countries. Learn about supportive and education programs, protest actions, diplomatic pressures, from representatives on the panel.

Three of five panelists on board so far: Carolina Gama from Mujeres al Frente support group for Latin American LBTIQ - George Harvey from LGBT Amnesty International Toronto and Nick Mulé, formerly of Amnesty International. Nick got Sexual orientation included in the purview of Amnesty International
Each panelist will be given 5-10 minutes to discuss their expertise followed by a moderator session of questions, before being opened to the public for a Q&A period. Moderator: Rui Pires Gay Men's Community Education Coordinator, AIDS Committee of Toronto

Welcome to our blog!

We are finally here to post some updates about the Group, News and lots of Info that we want to share with you!

As some of you know on June 2007 we presented the new name of the Group during the celebration of PRIDE in Toronto where we all enjoy the first edition of "Manos y Lenguas Libres" (Unrestrained Hands & Tongues) which is an open space to exhibit the artistic expresion of Latin- American LBTIQ Women and Transgender Persons.

Right now we are working on the produccion on the second edition of this event, this time with focus on Erotic Art. It will be on Sunday June 22nd at 7pm at the Gladstone Hotel, on 1214 Queen St West.

There will be Music, Poetry Reading, Photo Exhibit, Art, Drag King Performance, Short Films, Erotic Dance, and the performance of a mexican songwriter Patty Ibarra and lots more.

There we all will start to celebrate the PRIDE WEEK 2008 called "UNIFIED".

You are all invited to join us and enjoy the ART of Latin-American LBTIQ Community. Bring all your friends, remember this is a free admission event.
